The French are incredibly contrary people. When the rest of the world was homosocial, they gave us a female military leader.

When most of the rest of the free world was square and market oriented, they gave us a Marxist student revolution (’68).

Now that the world is statist, they are giving us a student led, free-market revolution.

Gentlemen, I fear you are correct about the risks Mlle Herold is taking. The woman has guts. The enarques are fully capable of a criminal response if her movement takes off and threatens the status quo, not to mention free-lance violence from union members. I hope she takes more precautions than poor Mr. Fortuyn did. I will continue to pray for her safety, as well as the success of her cause.
