Some Chicago Boyz know each other from student days at the University of Chicago. Others are Chicago boys in spirit. The blog name is also intended as a good-humored gesture of admiration for distinguished Chicago School economists and fellow travelers.
There is nothing like grandiose 19th century architecture. The Brits were great at it,and it wasn’t confined to the home isands either; they spread it all over their empire. Look at Churchgate and Victoria Stations in Bombay.
By the way, Manhattan between 14th St. and Canal St.has a magnificent collection of 19th C. arcitecture.
