Some Chicago Boyz know each other from student days at the University of Chicago. Others are Chicago boys in spirit. The blog name is also intended as a good-humored gesture of admiration for distinguished Chicago boys including those pictured above.

I am interested in the comment on those who claim international law does not exist. My personal belief is that while there may be international agreements asd to how certain things work, there is not a recognized code of international law with all the trappings that would go with such a code, for example, appeal procedures, selection of judges, certain punishments, assumption of guilt or innocence, insurance that lawyers and judges are qualified, change of venue procedures. This is why I for one would never agree to the International Court of Justice that is currently screwing over Milosevec, whether he is innocent or guilty (I think he is guilty as charged but they apparently do not think they will be able to prove it - and this is after a couple of years!). I wonder just how long it would take them to try Saddam in that court?????
