If someone sells arms to our primary military adversary, they are not allies. France is not America's ally, it is an opponent. They have made this clear over and over and over again. Opposing the United States is, for them, not situation-specific but a matter of principle. That is the course they have chosen. We should make sure they suffer for it. I'm glad I don't live in Hyde Park anymore, too. But not because people are mean to France there. Allies? Wake up. If someone sells arms to our primary military adversary, they are not allies.
