      I work in IT (unfortunately) which is why I like Typepad, I don’t have to monkey around with anything.

      Well, if I did it again I would probably use Typepad or WordPress. I’ve been trying to fix the CMS.pm file to make it possible to delete trackback spam from the MT editing UI. Seems like it should be easy to make this change, and it probably would be if I knew what I was doing.
