    Ariel Sharon has been taken to the hospital suffering from what first news reports call a stroke.
    (I’ll be gone; someone else may want to replace this with more information as it happens – and commentary.)

      It would appear that the stroke is a mild one but the political repercussions could be serious.

      I wish Sharon well both personally and politically. I fear that he is not replaceable, at least in the short term.
