Some Chicago Boyz know each other from student days at the University of Chicago. Others are Chicago boys in spirit. The blog name is also intended as a good-humored gesture of admiration for distinguished Chicago boys including those pictured above.

chocolate contains cocoa beans and milk, therefore is full of natural fiber, vitamin D, protein and calcium. Vodka is high on fiber calories (hey, it’s made of grain!).
Altogether, most healthy drink imaginable.

That's great news, why didn't anyone tell me that before?

Ralf, you remind me of a rationale for chocolate cocktails I've seen in an ad during Xmas: chocolate contains cocoa beans and milk, therefore is full of natural fiber, vitamin D, protein and calcium. Vodka is high on fiber calories (hey, it's made of grain!).
Altogether, most healthy drink imaginable.

Ralf, you had better stick to various kinds of wurst and buttered boiled potatoes and liver dumpling soup -- we know you Germans eat a very light and healthy diet. Ha.

Just looking at that menu clogged up my arteries and set me on the fast track to a coronary.

Thanks a lot, America!

Seattle seems to have a Thai place for every 10 people, and an Indian place for every 50 (oh, the sweet, delectable curries!). We’re finally starting to get a healthy amount of halfway decent barbeque, after many decades of absence. Central European fare, however, is hard to come by. So I’ve actually never known a Czech restaurant (although I know of a couple of good German places). Still, I think I get your point.

Yes, I think I shall have to mosey on down there one of these days…

Good God, that place is like my own personal version of 72 virgins. Cigarettes, giant steaks, and huge amounts of fried food? If this place serves beer, it is literally heaven on earth! I may die young from massive heart failure, but I would die happy.

I think if I ever lose my current job, Seattle can go to hell, and I shall go to Texas.

Mr. Sudolak is truly a great man, and a great American.
