One Response to “Robots of the Week”

    1. CapitalistRoader Says:

It seems to me that those farmers are stuck in the past, used to using cheap, illegal alien labor to harvest their crops. That labor market is closed. Until they can get automation down, instead of paying illegals $10/hour they’re going to have to pay citizens probably $20/hour plus beni’s, which probably means $30/hour fully burdened.

So what? Food–produce–is incredibly cheap. Instead of paying 50¢/lb. for yellow onions, we’ll pay a dollar a pound. It won’t be the end of the world.
