    One big irony that is worth noting here: Whoever did this presumably has political leanings that are a lot closer to the norm in the EU nations than in the US. But if they had pulled this stunt in one of those EU nations, they would likely have been hunted down much more ruthlessly by the authorities there - not for defacing the sign per se, but for doing so with a swastika.
