Most of the places I saw bands are long gone. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Rathskeller" rel="nofollow">The Rat</a> and <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Channel_(nightclub)" rel="nofollow">The Channel</a> come to mind ... . Last live show I saw was The Hives. I was much more than twice the average there. So what. The Hives dominated. Still not to old to see a show like that. Almost 40! Ha: I am, as Bo Diddley sang “OVER 45!”
