Oh, g*d I will never get back the four hours of my life that I spent trying to enlighten some of the regular posting clientele on LGF a couple of years ago, about how it wasn’t geographically, technically or operationally possible for the American and British air forces to have bombed Auschwitz until very late in 1944.

And lest anyone here start that argument again, let me repeat – it just wasn’t possible and I don’t care what George McGovern claimed in 19-whatever and based on his experience as a front-line bomber crewman in 1943. Wasn’t possible. Hindsight is 20-20.
