Some Chicago Boyz know each other from student days at the University of Chicago. Others are Chicago boys in spirit. The blog name is also intended as a good-humored gesture of admiration for distinguished Chicago School economists and fellow travelers.
Chicago is definitely the city that works. Notice how dead pedestrians are removed from crosswalks before you can even record an image of them.
Ha ha
I found a “night” setting on my camera and was able to take a good one. The pedestrians are scrambling to get across that street before the cab mows them down
Those are pre-dead pedestrians :)
It is a nice picture.
I believe that is pedestrian hell – doesn’t Grand turn onto Wells from both directions one way?
night setting on my camera never works so well!
or maybe i should finally read the manual
Very quiet, compared to this Dangerous Russian Intersection
…or to this Mexican bike race’ interaction with a drunk American driver
Yes Dan you are correct that is the awful intersection
I put up a post on it here that is a movie and you can see the people just waiting to get run over

It is a little bit better now because they stopped people from turning right on red or at least said it is illegal (I see it all the time anyways)
