I’ve had DMV pictures better than that 30 foot high whatever-it-is. Who is it and, more importantly, why is it?

Huh?
I’ve a degree from the Art Institute and I still don’t get it. It’s not only that I’m still furious that Richie desecrated *my* field

Tough crowd.
I’m not a fan of a lot of contemporary art, but I like the public space that is Millennium Park.
(Oh look, some museum-land contemporary art is perfectly nice, but quite a lot of it is simply academic political art with all the dullness and lack of creativity that implies. It has all the intellectual rigor and vision of a hyper-caffeinated undergraduate.)
What I do like about the above, however, is the splashing water and the fun children have playing in it….they splash in the water, they stare at the big funny faces, they make everyone laugh. They really enjoy themselves. It’s a good public sculpture for that reason.

I like it too.
We need to enjoy the few things in Chicago that kind of work out well.
