Some Chicago Boyz know each other from student days at the University of Chicago. Others are Chicago boys in spirit. The blog name is also intended as a good-humored gesture of admiration for distinguished Chicago School economists and fellow travelers.
Maybe, maybe not. But you have to come to NC for the best.

LB, that looks awfully good. What is your best pork dish, assuming I was to invite myself over for dinner some day?
That is awesome. My 11 year old recently delcared herself a vegatarian – I informed her that it was fine with me, more pigs for me to eat.
My sister – years ago – worked for Swift – and in the Museum of Science and Industry with new product testing – if I am not mistaken Swift got started in those stockyards…
Perhaps true, but certainly they have been slacking in recent years. Time for some serious OT at the Chi-Town abattoir’s!
Hard to believe that the great cathedral of pork in Chicago Moo & Oink have closed their doors.

Thanks, Gerry, now I’ll have the Moo & Oink jingle going through my head for the rest of the day:
“Scream for catfish!”
“Screeeeaaammm for ribs!”
“Mooooooooo and Oink!”
Moo and Oink.
Speaking of pork, on Sunday I am attending a whole hog butchering class. Full report to come.
