Yes, that’s true enough. However, if you do, be prepared to get lots of phone calls in the middle of the night. It’s as one street prophet once said to me, in passing: “The screwin’ ya get ‘t ain’t worth the screwin’ ya get.” Hear, hear, wise one!!!
But for any two people, one must be crazier than the other, even if only a little crazier.
Therefore, if everyone followed this rule, no one would ever go to be with anyone.
No, it means that people who are equally crazy belong together. I don’t think craziness is something that can determined with mathematical certitude. There are probably rough categories of “equally crazy” which will work out OK in practice.
It is nearly impossible for me to violate the second precept.
I think he got a bad rap for Heaven’s Gate. I just watched it this year and while it was long (I had to watch it in two sittings) it was mezmorizing. I thought it was alot better than days of heaven, another prairie epic from the same period that one an academy award.
