Some Chicago Boyz know each other from student days at the University of Chicago. Others are Chicago boys in spirit. The blog name is also intended as a good-humored gesture of admiration for distinguished Chicago School economists and fellow travelers.

Looks like the sort of place that will actually fix a tire instead of insisting that it has to be replaced for “safety” except when that’s the truth.
That’s it. They get tire repair business because they are honest, fast and inexpensive. I’m guessing tire repairs bring in other repair business which is where they actually make money. It’s a good business model.
I especially like the hot pink tool box.
In Irving,TX, tire repair is considered too unsightly to be carried out except behind closed doors or a high wall, thus nothing here except the big chains. I’ve always considered that the sight of a reasonable amount of disorder was a sure sign of a thriving community.
I’ve found a good tire store not too far away for my very infrequent needs. If I could just find a good mechanic.
