  • Castro Answers Questions

The great comandante shows his respect for human rights and free speech, after a journalist asks him about a Cuban dissident who has dared to express openly her wish to visit relatives outside of Cuba:

It’s in Spanish but the relevant parts are pretty much self-explanatory.

      rough translation:

interviewer asks about cuban dissident and why she can’t visit her grandchildren. Fidel asks “who are you” “Where are you from”, then after the question is repeated “Who is paying you to ask those questions”

Interviewer asks if fidel is planning to transition power Fidel says “Who is paying you” and… drumroll… “Why don’t you ask about all the crimes bush is committing in your country” *Applause*

Fidel has a couple lines after that, but I don’t remember what they were… 40 years, revolucion, che…

Theologically, I sometimes have some difficulty accepting the idea that hell exists… then I think of Castro and it all makes sense.
