  1. The attempted Las Vegas shooter Micheal Sandford has been in the USA 1.5 years and had a United Kingdom driver’s license at the time of arrest.

    This headline —

“Illegal Alien Attempts to Assasinate Trump”

…is one you will hear NEVER.

  2. Obama goes to the UK to kill the Brexit referendum, so this fellow is just trying to return the favor.

  3. Well, Subotai has been predicting this for awhile, so anyone paying attention will simply shrug and take it in stride… and order more ammunition.

  4. Sadly — and I hope I am wrong — I suspect this is only the first of many attempts of Trump.

  5. It seems that there is a pattern of behavior, attempts at Trump’s life and with bodily harm. His supporters, who are also voters, have been assaulted an bullied at his speeches and rally’s. A deliberate plan to intimidate and frighten the voters? The candidate? I think there are laws that address such things. Good time for those with media access to pose this question.

  6. Will,

There have been three distinct attempts at bodily harm directed at Trump.

    1. The cancelled Chicago Rally where the usual Leftist thugs were going to seize Trump.

    2. The Leftie muscle guy who jumped the rope at a Trump airport event and was let loose by a Dem judge.

    3. Sanford the attempted grab the cop’s gun assassin.

  7. More attempts are coming. From the Left, from the GOPe, and from the #NeverTrump-ers. The questions will be, a) will any be successful, and b) with all three covering for each other will the truth ever come out?

ABC’s Good Morning America lead with the assassination attempt as its top story…and did not label the assassin as an illegal alien.

  12. Apparently, the kid is a nut.

Once again, we had warnings, this time from his parents.

The father of a British man accused of trying to assassinate Donald Trump today revealed his ‘insular’ son had travelled to America to be with his girlfriend but had gone off the rails.
Michael Steven Sandford, who appeared in court on Monday, tried to grab a police officer’s gun and wanted to shoot the billionaire Republican presidential candidate on Saturday.
His father Paul Davey told MailOnline he has no idea why his son would attempt to shoot the billionaire presidential candidate and claimed someone must have put the vulnerable boy ‘up to it.’
He also claims that he and Steven’s mother Lynne told American authorities they were worried about Sandford but officials failed to act upon it.
He said: ‘He’s been refusing to come back and we were worried about him, we were in contact with the American Embassy telling them we were worried about him. The American authorities said “he’s over 18 we can’t do anything”.

Yes, he is “an undocumented migrant” so he is safe from any action by authorities.

  13. How sad. The lad has become a danger to others and will now need to be locked up. Having such a child must be a perpetual worry and torment. His parents must have been at their wits’ end to do something as daft as to fund him for a year in the US.

I wonder if there’s any way that he can be locked up in Broadmoor so that at least his parents can visit him? That would also relieve the US taxpayer of the cost of detaining him.

Naturally his parents seek an explanation in terms of someone putting him up to it. I suspect that if he watches US mainstream telly that’s all the “putting up” he needed. I worry for Trump; I fear this won’t be the last assassination attempt though it may be the lamest.

  14. “I worry for Trump; I fear this won’t be the last assassination attempt though it may be the lamest.”

I do, too. I keep think of the parallel with Huey Long, who may not be a familiar figure to you Deraieme.

He was assassinated a month after he announced that he would run against Roosevelt in 1936.

Trump reminds me of Long. There was a pretty good movie about him in the 1940s when he was still remembered.

The movie was called All the King’s Men, and pictured him as a villain as it was still during the Roosevelt afterglow.

The novel won a Pulitzer and the movie three Oscars. All are forgotten now but Trump reminds me of him. More then Mussolini, I think, but both do.

  15. >>>>”DISGUSTING! Paul Ryan, McConnell and GOP Leader Priebus SILENT After Assassination Attempt on Donald Trump”<<<<

Actually, not silent. One can be sure that one or more of them uttered, "If at first you don't succeed . . . "

Mr. Trelenko, can I get a cite/link on that I can use elsewhere?

    Thanks.

  17. According to Roger Stone, rules for Cleveland’s convention “outside people” are that: All supporters/protesters will be corralled in one area, only one microphone will be in use (presuming it will be shared or fought over) and the city will control it.

Earlier this week I posted Sharyl Atkinsson’s link. She claims the police are concerned that their personnel are going to get hurt, and that they are not prepared, despite rumors that the city got a big chunk of money to prepare for the mayhem.

Lots of blather and chaw, but the bit about about the rules is interesting…and ominous.

  18. Cleveland got its championship. Should help keep things calm. The big show will be in Philly. That’s where the OWS crowd has rented up all the campgrounds.

  19. The protesters in Philly will be staying on the other side of the Delaware River in New Jersey. Camden I think I read. There are no campgrounds in Philly. Fairmount park straddles both sides of the Schuylkill River. Some may try to flop there, but I doubt that the Park Police will let them set up tents or such.
The Wells Fargo Center is at the bottom of South Philly. The campers will have to travel from Camden across the Walt Whitman bridge to reach the Center.

  20. “Camping in Camden” Gosh, that’s funny.

I’m not sure a Championship will quell the fires that have been methodically stoked over the past eight years. People like Lisa Fithian and Tommy DiMassimo aren’t usually fans of organized sport (excluding the Cuban National teams) unless they can shakedown the White/Jewish owners for some rent/concessions etc. I hope nothing occurs, and that aggravation to the residents and business owners is minimal.

I keep thinking back to that story of the pizza man in Baltimore, an Iraqi immigrant that had thrown everything he had into the little shop. His regulars came in once the riot got going and burned him out, and tried to light him on fire as well. I’m sure there are dozens of stories like his. Chasing the insurance company, losing your home, car, credit.

  21. This would be a good time to take a long rural vacation. There is no way I would get within 1000 miles of Cleveland.

Fortunately, I live behind the “Orange Curtain” in Orange County where Little League teams and AR 15s are found in approximately equal number.

  22. Ray,

OWS has also rented every bus available in the tristate area to move people from the camp sites in southern Jersey to the convention (see this. I have not heard of this level of activity near Cleveland and this. Looking more like ’68 all the time. The pros are going to Philly, Cleveland will be left to the locals. Besides, the campsites outside Cleveland might not be too hospitable.
