Happy Thanksgiving to all from this side of the Pond. We are having a Thanksgiving Teaparty by Lincoln’s statue in Parliament Square tomorrow afternoon. Any reader of this posting who will be in or near London is welcome. It will start at 4 and go on till 8 so there will be plenty of time to go on to other events though there will be food.

It was low key but successful enough for us to start planning future events. Only one loon stood around screaming anti-American rubbish but he stayed well away from us. For some reason he demanded that Americans go to Rome. Couldn’t work that one out. Others were friendly, many wished us happy Thanksgiving, Americans who went by were very touched, others stopped to chat and eat. We also fed several homeless people, including a bunch of Romanians. Next time I shall remember a flask of hot coffee with whisky in it. Brrrr!
