Alpacas

I thought a little bit of Alpaca fun would brighten everybody’s Friday a bit. I saw them a couple of months ago in Galena outside of the “Galena Log Cabin Gateway“. Funny I thought they were Llamas (went packing with them once) but turns out they are Alpacas.

ah, but they only sell alpaca yarn in their store, not online!
1st picture looks very strange…those exotic exquisite creatures on the log cabin background…

Once I packed gear with a Llama. Per wikipedia (I am no Llama expert) they can inter breed with an Alpaca and create fertile offspring, so they must be pretty close to being the same. That Llama was pretty funny he walked right behind me and sneezed on my backpack and wiped his nose on it. No biting.
