Some Chicago Boyz know each other from student days at the University of Chicago. Others are Chicago boys in spirit. The blog name is also intended as a good-humored gesture of admiration for distinguished Chicago School economists and fellow travelers.

well, that explains why my comments posted many hours apart showed up at about the same time. Of course, this led me to realize how much I overuse the “is it just me” intro – that much be irritating. Sorry about that.
And thanks, as usual, for your thoughtfulness in putting this all together and giving us an aesthetic quotient.

If you are not a qualified/certified whatnot technician you should leave the whatnot alone.
Sharpshooter, I figure the only way to learn how to do it is to dive in and get your hands dirty! I don’t think this statement applies to surgery, however.
But Jonathan, even i surgery the patient is likely to tell you if you get it wrong…
