Yes, it is a depressingly fair point, Robert. If the statement with which you take issue had been “did a job” (rather than “held”),then the claim would be inarguable.
I understand that while in the Senate, he officially contributed one spoken word at each of his attendances: “Present”.
I remember reading that he had never participated in a debate.
Which once again begs the question, why did the DNC run this cat, with so many blank pages in the bio? I’m still baffled/horrified by the whole fiasco.
