A Death in the Hague

Slobodan Milosevic Found Dead in Cell. There will no longer be the endless, often meaningless time for visions and revisions, to murder & create. But is this the only way such a trial conducted by such a body can end? Ott reads the news.

  1. Great! I am opposed to the whole concept of trials for ex-national leaders.

They should be allowed a comfortable retirement on a tropical island. This will encourage them to step down peacefully instead of fight tooth and nail to remain in power.

  2. Can the term “fiasco” be applied to the Milosevic trial? I think so. He was marvelously adept with his obfuscation and manipulative ability. Too bad he left the planet so soon. It would’ve been a benefit to all of Europe to see this hooligan convicted, sentenced and, ultimately, exponged.
