7. The stool is next to boots. Try changing boots/shoes without sitting down. Friends have a new floor and don’t want street shoes on the new wood. I have slip on covers, but get me a chair or I’ll be in your potted ferns…

   I have been told that a chair at the front entry was a courtesy to visitors.

   Or maybe that is where the resident dunce sits when he is on duty.
