Robert Earl performed this on stage in the middle of Congress Ave. in downtown Austin for New Years 2000 (A2K). Actually, it turned into a sing along with hundreds of his fans joining in word-for-word, followed by “Texas, Our Texas” and, improbably, “All along the Watchtower” — good times.
