  2. Good news ! I used the link to find a book that I read a few years ago called The Rebellion of Ronald Reagan which is a very revealing book about Reagan and his relationship with Suzanne Massie. She is an expert on Russia and, with her ex-husband , wrote the biography of the Romanovs. She is fluent in Russian and became, quite by chance, a private back-channel link between Reagan and Gorbachev, to the fury of the State Department types.

    I had thought she wrote the book but learned the correct author and ordered another copy. Mine has vanished; probably loaned to someone.
