The Giant Florida Millipede is a gentle creature that ranges from two to eight feet in length and up to 300 Lbs. in weight. Its fearsome reputation is mostly undeserved as it rarely preys on adult humans. Indeed these kindly creatures make excellent pets — playful, loyal and surprisingly intelligent, though difficulty in fitting a leash has perhaps discouraged their popularity.

Sounds like the next weapon in our arsenal to me. Fits right in with the hypervelocity rods from space, the Genghis Khan clones, etc. Dibs on the asteroids, one gas giant planet (w/moons), and portions of Earth’s land surface totaling approximately 1 million km², to be named later.
