On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of their online presence, Deutsche Welle is offering a website in Klingon.

Their website’s “language selector” lists Klingon but not Hebrew. Perhaps for them the imaginary planet Klingon is more real than the real country Israel. Why am I not surprised.

They’ve gone where no website has gone before…
I took the Klingon quiz and got 6 out of 10 correct.

There is no Hebrew, but no Italian either. There are a lot more Italians than Bulgarians, Croatians or Macedonians, but they have these languages but not Italian. They also don’t have Hungarian, Dutch, or any of the Scandinavian languages.
So they seem to assume that Israelis, Scandinavians and the Dutch can read English good enough not to need a specific service in their language.
