      I think the black and white may have helped with the resolution, sort of a tradeoff? But I really don’t know about these things.

      I think this is from the movie which came out a few years ago … which was very good; there are/is actual footage of the original show

      yep; the movie was “Control” …

      it was a pretty good movie based on his widow’s book about Ian Curtis and by extension, Joy Division, I think the book’s title was lifted from the Love Will Tear Us Apart lyric,”touching from a distance”
