A friend of mine took this great picture of a recent storm that hit Chicago.

Good one.
He took it from his iPhone, to boot. And an older iPhone with a smaller MP camera. All my iPhone pictures are crap I have no idea how he does it. I think he has steadier hands.
I think he was in the right place at the right time.
I have tried to explain to California friends what a Chicago storm is like. I remember when I was a child. I would be playing at a neighbor’s house when the wind would change and the temperature drop. I would stop what I was doing and run for home. By the time I got there, the storm would be upon us. I didn’t know about weather reports and they weren’t that much good in those days, anyway. The first time I took my California born wife to Chicago, she looked at the ropes strung along State Street with disbelief.
