  • A Question for RSS Users

Posted by Jonathan on January 19th, 2007 (All posts by )

This blog’s syndication feeds are configured to deliver the last 30 posts. Is 30 posts too many, too few, or does the number not matter to you? Comments appreciated.

I use Google Reader. I have configured it to not show items after I have read them. This is a non problem for me.

I use My Yahoo and limit it to unread items not older than 3 days. It never shows more than 5 most recent items.

    3. Randomscrub Says:

I check it about once every 3-4 days, so 30 items allows me to see more than I need, but please don’t trim it to less than 15 or 20!

    4. Jonathan Says:

Thanks for the feedback. So far two people are indifferent to length, one says not less than 15 or 20 and one person who emailed suggests 25. So I will go with 25.

Does anyone else have an opinion? If so, please share it.
