My six nice avocados
Down the embankment

Some Chicago Boyz know each other from student days at the University of Chicago. Others are Chicago boys in spirit. The blog name is also intended as a good-humored gesture of admiration for distinguished Chicago School economists and fellow travelers.

From a bicycle,
Falling groceries are doomed
to end unhappily.
Yeah, afternoon ride
I stopped to make photographs
Damn those plastic bags
In Far North Queensland
Down the embankment live large
Avocado-eating crocs.
Not a problem,
An opportunity.
Buy Chips,
Make guacamole.
Lucky Jonathan,
He can ride his bike year ’round.
A backpack would help.
I go light, no pack
A friend offered some ‘cados
I couldn’t say no
No guacamole:
They were lost in the bushes
Or maybe the bay
Alternate method
of carrying your foodstuffs
would seem to make sense.
Sprint’s circling the drain
another huge layoff soon
can I blog for money?
;^)
edit: change “money” to “cash” for correct # of syllables
