      Interesting placement!

    2. Brian Says:

      Happy Patriots’ Day, y’all.

Listen, my children, and you shall hear
Of the midnight ride of Paul Revere,
On the eighteenth of April, in Seventy-Five:
Hardly a man is now alive
Who remembers that famous day and year.

And so through the night went his cry of alarm
To every Middlesex village and farm, —
A cry of defiance, and not of fear, —
A voice in the darkness, a knock at the door,
And a word that shall echo forevermore!
For, borne on the night-wind of the Past,
Through all our history, to the last,
In the hour of darkness and peril and need,
The people will waken and listen to hear
The hurrying hoof-beat of that steed,
And the midnight-message of Paul Revere.

An image of the Buddha must always be placed above head height. Placing it at the level of one’s feet is defilement.

    4. PenGun Says:

I have been a Buddhist for nearly 60 years now. Its not a problem, except perhaps in your mind.

I will refer you to Bodidarma’s response to Emperor Wu’s question “So what is the highest meaning of noble truth?”. It was “There is no noble truth, there is only emptiness.”

    5. Brian Says:

Based on the last 3 months, if I were a betting man, I’d be going heavy onto any bids that Donald J. Trump will win landslide (re?-)election in November 2024…

    6. Gavin Longmuir Says:

“if I were a betting man …” — I would bet that the next election in Nov 2024 will be even more obviously corrupt than the last one. 300 Million votes for Queen Kamela! And the Institutional Republicans, Supreme Court, and entire Pravda media will see no problem.

    7. Tatyana Says:

      Gavin: yes. To our doom.
I don’t see any equally active force in the country able to resist this.

    8. Brian Says:

I still maintain you are way overestimating the competence of the enemy. The margin of fraud was larger in 2020 than ever before, but in 2024 it will be closer to historical norms, and the Dems don’t have anyone with Biden’s preposterously false public image (which of course has already been thrown away). After 4 years of economic ruin, massive crime increases, foreign policy catastrophes, and racial division, Kamala will dominate the online white woman vote and lose huge shares everywhere else.

I also think the online-“conservative” activists, who never understood or supported Trump, have zero comprehension of what the GOP base wants at all–if Trump runs again, he wins the nomination in a landslide, probably unopposed by anyone serious. And after a catastrophic Biden/Harris term, the “back to normal” campaign won’t work against him. I’d prefer someone else, but I think that’s the way it’s setting up.

It’s impossible to be optimistic about the future, but I’m not so pessimistic as to think that these idiots have us in some sort of unbreakable hammerlock.

      CB readers know!

Picture of Buddha statue on ground is really about another thing!

Picture of Buddha statue on ground is really picture about election fraud anxiety!

Picture of Buddha statue on ground inevitably in this venue is to be construed by multi-step but nonetheless monomaniacal internal mental path of viewer as really picture about Trump!

Picture of Buddha statue on ground is not art.

Picture of Buddha statue on ground is not amusing visual jest.

Picture of Buddha statue on ground is not slice of life.

Picture of Buddha statue on ground is politics.

All pictures are politics. Even Buddha statue on ground picture is politics.

      Everything is politics.

There is no noble truth. There is election anxiety, Trump, and politics.

I hope you are right. I had expected that, now the Democrat cabal have irrevocably “won”, their unstable coalition would start to fracture, in the manner of the Memsheviks and Bolsheviks after the Russian Revolution. Race hustlers would fight extreme feminists; transgendered activists would fight homosexuals; crony CEOs would fight climate change true believers; unionists would fight lawyers & regulators — and there would be opportunities for others to slip into the control room while the Leftie barney was going on. That is not a dream — it is basically how functional Libertarian Gary Johnson took advantage of Democrat infighting to win the governorship of New Mexico.

But so far, the Democrat DC Crime Family seems to be hanging together — and the DC Republicrats are no threat to them. It may be that external events will be required to bring the Democrats down.
