For Sisu, who has complete mastery of this art.

    The squirmin' vermin himself

You can't suck your thumb if you don't have one, idiot!

I had the great pleasure of meeting some New England bloggers about a month ago, although I had to miss the most recent get-together earlier this week. The bloggers included Solomonia, neo-neocon (whose picture doesn’t begin to do her justice), Ace of Spades, Daniel in Brookline, Petitedov, Miss Kelly, Bearing Witness, Soxblog and the delightful Sisu.

In a room full of bloggers, the talk rushes and thunders like Niagara. I could hardly hear my own bloviating, and that was even before the first beer was opened.

Thank you, Mitch, for the kind words and especially for the kittie pix. Who IS that little cutie?

We did miss you on Tuesday at the Thai restaurant in Coolidge Corner, but I will say this. There only six of us — Sol and Tuck and I plus three others who missed the previous meet, including one first-timer, my close blogfriend Teresa — and it was more like just a group of old friends out for a festive evening of good food and good conversation.

‘Hope to see you soon. :)

That’s Winston. My daughter had gotten a firm “no” from me about bringing a third cat into the house, but she didn’t pass the word on to my wife, who went and got the same kitten my daughter had had her eye on in the first place. (“But honey, each of the kids has a cat and I don’t.”) I have my eye on a Burmese python, & plan to give it the run of the house.

Terry Pratchett once described the gaze of a kitten thusly….

It stared at him with the normal mad amazement of kittens everywhere.

I never knew what he was talking about until just this moment.

But, then again, I’m a dog person myself.

The first pic is lovely but try cropping it vertically, you don’t need all that messy stuff in the pic.
