You are not kidding about the overpriced part. I just finished reading the details on the RFK school in the Los Angeles school district. Anyways, it was roughly 24 years ago, that Bill Bennett recommended the department of ed in Chicago be “blown up”. Liberals howled with anger, weak kneed Republicans and other RINOs called it “not useful”. I suppose Paul Vallas was somewhat successful in his early 1990’s reform efforts, but the “correlation of forces” ensured the misery continues.
