How soon until …

… President Obama makes a public statement linking the Norway massacres and the Tea Party?

Does he go first? Or does he let others take the lead?

It is taking them a few days to figure out how to use the massacre politically.

But it is going to be a major theme for them going forward.

Count on it.

UPDATE: This is now circulating: “Koch-Funded Tea Party Heavyweight Tim Phillips Spoke at Norweigan Killer’s Political Party Event.” Classic.

  1. From his writings, somewhat similar to those of the Unabomber, it seems he is a member of the European Resistance Movement, a radical group that opposes Muslim immigration. It doesn’t seem to have anything to do with religion or conservative/ libertarian politics.

    April/May 2002

I am the Norwegian delegate to the founding meeting in London, England and ordinated as the 8th Justiciar Knight for the PCCTS, Knights Templar Europe. I joined the session after visiting one of the initial facilitators, a Serbian Crusader Commander and war hero, in Monrovia, Liberia. Certain long term tasks are delegated and I am one of two who are asked to create a compendium based on the information I have acquired from the other founders during our sessions. Our primary objective is to develop PCCTS, Knights Templar into becoming the foremost conservative revolutionary movement in Western Europe the next few decades. This in relation to developing a new type of European nationalism referred to as Crusader Nationalism.

The libertarian Progress party is being vilified because of his association.

I am going to discontinue my involvement in the Norwegian Progress Party as I have lost faith in the democratic struggle to save Europe from Islamification. After 65 years of harsh political oppression, demonization and ridicule from the communist-globalist cultural establishment, directed at any and all who opposes multiculturalism, there are still no indications that this communist-globalist hegemony will ever allow PP to take control.

Thus, he quit the Progress Party in 2002. It wasn’t radical enough.

This appears to be the source of his weapons.

I’m preparing for a car trip to Prague to establish a weapons connection for the acquisition of an assault rifle, a glock, splint grenades and AP ammo (grenades and AP ammo is a bonus). Prague is known for being maybe the most important transit point for illicit drugs and weapons in Europe.

I fear that Europe is going to see more of this as the governments have gone completely pacifist and PC towards Islam and the reaction will necessarily be extreme from this sort of element. There is already a group called “English Defense League” or EDL which has some relationship with this fellow’s group.

Of course, the Norwegians are already blaming the US. Read the comments to this post by an American (Left of center politics) living in Norway.

  2. First: It is a little hard for me to see how events in Norway can be connected to US politics without looking like you are trying way too hard.

Second: European elites have been working overtime to marginalize and silence critics of their multicultural policies. On the other hand, they are losing what ever cred they had for being able to run things as the Euro begins to fall apart and the EU looks less and less likely to survive. This has made hoi poloi more and more resentful. The growth of a neo-fascism is predictable throughout Europe.

  3. Robert, you are wrong. I am getting barraged with Facebook stuff from lefties I know. They are absolutely convinced by the link above.

I deactivated Facebook. Again. I turned it on for two specific purposes, but now I have no need for it.

  4. The MSM is going to repeat this around the clock all day, every day, and the public will eventually believe it.

  5. I’m afraid I have to agree with Lex Re: the MSM and then the Democrats, and RINO’s, will take up the message and advance their PC agenda and do their best to gut the First, as well as the Second Amendment.

  6. so what if leftists say anything about anything? how does this change anything? it doesn’t. the only people listening to obama or the msm are people already committed to the left.

  7. “the only people listening to obama or the msm” — not so. Most people don’t obsessively follow these issues. Obama is personally popular. The vast majority of people get their news in snippets from the MSM. They are likely to believe this spin if they hear it enough.

  8. The shooter resigns from the Progress Party, a major political party in Norway, in 2002 because they were not radical enough. Alternet seems to be a more radical site.

  9. There is now some evidence that the shooter’s facebook page was altered after the shooting to add “Christian” and “conservative” to his profile. He was in jail at the time. There are screen captures of the page before and after the alteration.

That is interesting given the emphasis being placed on the significance of those two entries. I wonder of facebook can track who altered the page? Or if they are even interested in doing so ?

  10. in normal times i would agree about most people not paying attention. but these aren’t normal times and i believe/sense that the msm and obama have lost the non-left. something made the dems cave on the debt negotiations — and miracle of miracles, the gop hasn’t caved in and handed them a victory.

  11. Cjm, you mean they haven’t caved yet. Just wait, those spineless fools will soon enough. Always the first to grasp defeat from the jaws of victory.

  12. We know the psychology of these shooters and they have little to do with ideology. He will be like Bill Ayers, a megalomaniacal sociopath gloaming onto whatever ideology is convenient to justify his thrill-seeking violence.

The troubling thing is, domestic terrorist tend to reflect dominate political themes of their eras because they are driven in large part by a lust for fame and status. So, in the 60s and 70s when leftism was ascendent, we had leftwing terrorism and in the 90s when the right was more ascendent we had some rightwing terrorism (albeit way fewer incidents per capita than leftwing terrorist the generation before.) Therefore, this attack my reveal a building undercurrent in Norwegian political culture that the shooter keyed on.

I think this attack might be a symptom of the incipient collapse of Norwegian liberal-order.

The Scandinavian welfare-state is based on the Scandinavian monoculture. It is unlikely that monoculture will be able to handle any large scale immigration as does polycultural America. Worse, the expectation that the state should and can take care of everyone has imposed enormous expectations in the case of a severe economic crisis. The latter was a driving force in the rise of Fascism in the 30s and its easy to see how it could happen again with a change of brand and costume.

People who believe the state must take of them become xenophobic when a crises arises that stresses the state and forces it to choose between native born and immigrants. They rationally see the immigrant/outsiders as being direct economic competitors for the government largess. If the Norwegian left can’t honestly and effectively deal with issues of immigration, assimilation and public welfare spending, then the Norwegian liberal-order could suddenly collapse just like the German one did.

Norwegian leftists won’t see it coming. They will insist that the solution to every problem will be more leftism until, wam, the system flips to other extreme. Effective, rational government is the only protection. Unfortunately, all they have is emotive elitists.
