Ballooning Economy: Inflation Ahead?
This looks like a fun activity, though perhaps not the most practical way to travel. I think what’s missing is a tethered flock of birds to provide propulsion. Maybe we could get one of these rigs for the blog. It would be a dandy way to enjoy some of the wine and cheese delivered by our emergency-relief operation.

Hilarious! Watch out for sharp beaked birds though.
Good point. Maybe we should use geese. We might also have to train them not to sit on the balloons.
Maybe he does have propultion :)
What every Floridian should have in case a La Palma volcano eruption generates a 1,000-foot tsunami.

I hope our readers don’t think we’re full of hot air.
I JUST REALIZED YOU HAVE “WHAT’S THIS?” BALLOONS ON ALL OF YOUR PICTURES. HEE HEE! NICE CAPTIONS!
I’m assuming you heard about this predecessor flight?
And how about this? “Up, up he sailed, higher and higher, until the houses looked like toy houses and the people looked like dolls.” Good grief, my youngest is 12 and I still have the d****d thing memorized.
Ha! I remember (vaguely) both the 1982 flight and Curious George. Thanks for the reminder.
