Spam of the Day

Wow. This guy knows one of my long-lost relatives and obviously has my interests at heart. And we could sure use some of that money to help defer the blog’s enormous hosting bill! I wonder what I should do?

Dear G ewirtz

I am Barrister Yinka Davis,a solicitor at law.
I am the personal attorney to Mr. Michael G ewirtz ,a
national of your country, who worked with PETRO BONDS Limited inBonny Island, River State as an Engineer and a Consultant inDeep Sea Oil Exploration. On the 4th of May 2002,my client was involved in a plan crash with EAS Air Line Boeing 727from Jos to Kano State along side his entire family in
which all the occupants died as a result of burnt sustained.

Based on the letter I recieved from the SECURITY & FINANCE
COMPANY mandating me to present with immediate effect any of his relation who will stand as the Next of Kin to my late

Since then I have made several enquiries to your embassy
here to locate any of my clients extended relatives, this has also proved unsuccessful, after several attempts.I decided
to track his last name over the Internet, to locate any
member of his family hence I contacted you. I have contacted
you to assist in recovering the fund valued at
US$5,750,000.00 Million left behind by my client before it
gets confisicated or declared unserviceable by the Security
& Finance Firm where this huge amount were deposited. The
said Finance Company has issued me a notice to provide the
next of kin or have the account confisicated within the next
twenty one working days.

since I have been unsuccessful in locating the relatives for
over 2 years now. I seek the consent to present you as the
next of kin to the deceased since you have the same last
names, so that the proceeds of his account will be paid to
you as the bonafide Next of Kin.Therefore, on receipt of
your positive response, we shall then discuss the sharing
ratio and modalities.

All I require from you is your honest cooperation to enable
us see this transaction through.I guarantee that this will
be executed under legitimate arrangement that will protect
you from any breach of the law.

Please get in touch with me through my private email

Best regards,

Barrister Yinka Davis

  1. I wouldn’t quit my day job if I was you. I would bet that he is pulling your yinka but I won’t give my checking acct number for him to send my winnings to.

Are there actually some who get this crap that respond to it? P.T.Barnum must have been right, there is a sucker born every day.

  2. Barrister Yinka has already arranged to pay me the proceeds, the wire should be hitting today.

  3. I just received an email with the exact content only using my last name. Hope to hear from him again soon so as to get more information from him. This yinka is too funny. Like we would actually believe this. I know there are only 4 of us that are related, my mom, dad and brother. Is there anyone I can contact to report this?

  4. i had the exact same one dating today..well yeh iam one of those idiots who actually replied to it,just out of curiousity..found nothing on web except this

  5. You know. I got a similar e-mail today, but this time Yinka was trying to keep a deceased client’s money out of the bank’s hands. Like I would really try to help get some one else’s money from the bank. I sometimes don’t want to claim being related to some of my own family members, why would I claim relation to some one else?
