Everglades Storm 2

(Another Everglades storm is here.)

The last rays of the setting sun illuminate an isolated thunderstorm near the Shark Valley section of Everglades National Park, Florida. (Jonathan Gewirtz jonathan@gewirtz.net)

  1. Great Santa Ana conditions in Southern California this week. Ninety degrees today and yesterday. It is as clear as it must have been in the 1920s.

What’s unusual is that Utah’s weather is not too bad. Strong Santa Anas usually come with a big winter storm in Utah. Not much wind today, just hot.

  2. In south Texas today, we’re in the second day of a Canadian cold front, sweeping through. We know it’s Canadian because it’s so polite, eh? We’ve actually had to have the central heat on, for the first time since I had the whole HVAC system redone in September.
