Texas High School Football competes with the Baptists for the top religion, doesn’t it?

Oh, Bill – quite definitely. This sign was relatively modest; you should see what they have throughout the town of Falls City for their HS team … the Beavers.
High school football in Texas is only exceeded in enthusiasm by high school basketball in Alaska. Tiny eskimo towns near Nome have high school teams and travel around by snowmobile to play.
