What happened Wednesday?

Mike, does there exist a way to prove your observation about Antifa cadre and about cops helping them specifically up the stairs? I know that we’re not supposed to trust our instincts nor our lying eyes, but…

We will probably never get proof as the evidence will be swept away as quickly as evidence of vote fraud has been swept away. This operation was designed to harm Trump’s ability to influence policy in the next four years and to discredit him with the gullible who have not already become Democrats.

Here is one account from eyewitnesses.

According to the website “wildprotest.com,” the original plan was to gather at the Whitehouse Ellipse from 9am to 12pm, then gather at the North lawn of the Capitol building at 1 pm. As you may well know, not only did it not happen this way, but the aforementioned website went blank. Did they take it down to make it harder for Trump supporters to show that storming the building was never part of the initial plan?

This account is from an attendee who witnessed some of the events but not inside the capitol.

My group boarded a D.C. Metro train at 10:30am. Upon arrival to the next station, I saw three young white men board the train with dark clothes and skeleton face masks. My immediate concern was that these were Antifa thugs who would give us trouble as soon as they saw us get off the train with our signs. As I watched them from the corner of my eye, I noticed that one of them wore a cape with the American Revolution snake “Join or die.” Were these Trump supporters? Something did not seem quite right. As the train approached our destination, other rally participants started to fill our coach and we arrived at the Ellipse with no incident.

It seemed a typical Trump rally.

The main difference that struck me as unusual during this rally (apart from the three young men who boarded the train) was the frequent smell of marijuana.

We were present during much of the President’s speech, but since we could not hear it clearly, we walked to the National Mall in search of a bathroom. We found a public restroom on the mall with two lines of over 50 people. We then proceeded to walk down the Mall towards the Capitol building in search of porta-potties and found one with a line of about 20-30 people. Our wait was only 20 minutes, but it was overflowing, and I felt very bad for the women in our group. During the previous rally there had been many portable toilets on the Mall. This lack of facilities was anticipated because we were advised in one list serve to wear diapers. I had the impression the D.C. mayor wanted to make it less comfortable for us.

There is more, a lot more. You will have to search for it, though.

Here is another account from the NY Post.

At least two known Antifa members were spotted among the throngs of pro-Trump protesters at the Capitol on Wednesday, a law enforcement source told The Post.

The Antifa members disguised themselves with pro-Trump clothing to join in the DC rioting, said the sources, who spotted the infiltrators while monitoring video coverage from the Capitol.

The infiltrators were recognized due to their participation in New York City demonstrations, and were believed to have joined in the rioting so that Trump would get blamed, the source said.

Here is another known Antifa/BLM terrorist.

I expect there was a cadre of up to 100 Antifa terrorists and they used the same tactics we have seen since Minneapolis in June. They do the window breaking and encourage others, black looters in Minneapolis, Trump overenthusiastic supporters in DC, to follow their lead.

It was a successful op. Someone should have anticipated this but Trump staffers are too busy abandoning ship. I have read of “hundreds” of arrests coming. Who wants to bet that they will all be the Trump people and Antifa will get clean away?

  1. This is all irrelevant and stupid. What happened is that tens of thousands, maybe more, people came from all over the country to support Trump and protest the election. Then some tiny number of them pushed/fought/walked into the Capitol, some tiny number of those were destructive, and now the entire establishment is using that to discredit anyone who ever supported anything Trump ever did. It doesn’t matter if the 100 (or fewer) people who did anything “bad” are left, right, center, or other. They have nothing to do with the 99.99999% of other people there or elsewhere around the country or world.
I said earlier in the week I had a bad feeling about Wednesday–do you think all this garbage from facebook, from chevron and coke for goodness sakes, from the democrats, was done spontaneously? Nonsense. It was all ready to go.

  2. This was plainly an op, but I suspect any success will be fleeting. And having watched the left riot for months, burning entire cities, I have to wonder just why exactly I’m supposed to feel so outraged about this. I don’t.

This is just another step on the road to open civil war. Trump supporters have yet another example of how they have no rights the establishment feels bound to respect, not that another was needed. The usual suspects have an excuse to do exactly what they were going to do anyway, that being stab Trump in the back and shreik hatred at his supporters. And the hapless gee ohh peee thinks for the billionth time that the long nightmare is over and the Bad Orange Man is finally gone, allowing them to get back to stuffing their pockets in peace.

I doubt they’ll get their wish. What this reminds me of is p****gate from the 2016 campaign, which was another time Trump was surely finished. I obviously don’t know what he’s going to do, but I doubt it will be determined by this event- and I doubt any of his actual supporters will suddenly decide that the GOP was right about him all along!!

    Interesting times…

  3. Here’s the one “moderate” Democrat Senator:

The next 12 days are critical for the preservation of our democracy.
@jack, once again I urge you to suspend the
@realDonaldTrump @twitter account in the interest of our national security and public safety.
    @TwitterSupport

Fascist scum. But of course we can’t post what we really think of these people anymore, or else we’ll get locked out of the internet.

  4. I am monitoring Michael Yon who was at the Capitol Wednesday and is collecting accounts for a full report. I trust him to be honest and there are not many I can say that about now.

    Going to visit Pence.

He has posted one photo of a capitol policeman dousing the crowd OUTSIDE the Capitol with tear gas. So much for Biden./Harris racism.

  5. I suspect there are a fair number of people who just like violence and troublemaking, and who are happy to operate under whatever banner gives them the opportunity to do so at the moment.

There were certainly people in late-Weimar Germany who switched from being Communist-supporting street thugs to being Nazi-supporting street thugs. One such guy said that his only problem was that so many had switched that there was hardly anyone to beat up any more.

  6. Wow! This was a great piece! I am so shocked, shocked to find out the FBI is raiding the homes of Republican’s in Nashville. I am sure the still corrupt FBI under Ray, the leader Trump failed to fire, will find a lot of Democrats to raid, too. Actually not a chance. Likewise they will find no Antifa members in their face scans in the capital either. After all Ray told us that Antifa does not really exist. He said it was just an idea.

All this seems right out of the play book of Xi Jinping in Hong Kong. Or maybe out of the play book of John Brennan, the former communist CIA director under Obama, who had similar experience and no doubt admires Xi Jinping.

All of this is beyond frightening folks. Love to hear your all’s remedy, assuming you are brave enough to post it here. I can certainly understand your reluctance.

Did I mention former Director Comey was also a fan of communism in his youth? But of course he is just an innocent guy who Trump wrongfully fired.

  7. Love to hear your all’s remedy, assuming you are brave enough to post it here.

There isn’t a remedy, unless you count civil war, and I don’t. The only thing that surprises me is how unsurprised I am.

I know I’ve written it here before, but these people aren’t going to be able to “otherise” 150 million people in the manner the nazis did to the Jews in Germany. Sooner or later they’re generate real resistance, which will be much tougher than infiltrating a rally and making your pet cops use live ammunition against the hated Trumpkins.

Thing is, to get to the point when the shooting starts in earnest, any given regime will have to do things people don’t like, and convince them that they have no better option.

I’d say stealing an election via massive and obvious fraud and preventing people from complaining about that is a good start- but of course it didn’t start just now and it won’t stop with this Trump rally, either.

  8. Here is more on the Antifa guy seen on a video. He and a woman claim they were there to just “record the truth.” Inadvertently, they may have done so. They were leading the gullible.

A Utah activist who faces criminal charges in connection with a Provo protest he organized in June claims he attended a pro-Trump rally that turned into a violent attack on the U.S. Capitol in order to see “the truth” about the protests for himself and the organization he represents.

  9. But of course we can’t post what we really think of these people anymore, or else we’ll get locked out of the internet.

You won’t get locked out here, as long as I can help it.

  10. Thanks Jonathan, but I predict that by summer if you make posts saying the election was stolen this site is going to be shut down by your host, DNS provider, etc. I’m not even joking. In fact, I have to concede I’m not even sure I’m comfortable with providing an email for comments anymore, since I’m sure they’ll be authorized to seize it for whatever reason they want. Completely serious.

The lamps are going out all over the world, all over the internet, we shall not see them lit again in our life-time…

I guess I need to read up on samizdat, because things are getting real crazy real fast.

Of course, Conservative Tree House got kicked off their server by WordPress. I use WordPress blogging software but another host. I might add that the new WordPress software version is crap. I changed when I had a server error that I thought might be corrected by upgrading. Big mistake. I found the error was browser dependent and was able to correct it but now I am stuck with the WordPress version.

Jonathan, I suggest you resist WordPress’s upgrade demands.

At least CTH is big enough to have people able to move the entire site in two weeks.

  15. To say that “this is true but I know all the evidence is going to be destroyed” does not admit of any possible counterevidence.

There are always a few opposition plants at rallies trying to stir things up and bait one’s enemies into acting worse. There were a few fringe right infiltrators into the BLM protests. If someone is found, or even a few, who were trying to egg the Trump protestors on, it really doesn’t matter. All of us are responsible for not being incited to commit crimes, even under provocation. Protesting in DC is a very American thing to do. Breaking into the Capitol is dangerous on many fronts, not the least of which is that EVERY HARD DRIVE IN THE BUILDING was made vulnerable to unfriendly state actors seizing the opportunity to put in a thumb drive.

Zip it up, and mail it to yourself to date stamp it.

  17. }}} After all Ray told us that Antifa does not really exist. He said it was just an idea.

Actually, this might be kinda sorta valid.

If it is designed as a networked agency, rather than a hierarchical agency, it is quite possible that it isn’t “really existing” in the classical, organizational sense. There is no one directly giving orders. There is only a collection of people linked via the internet.

No one specifically orders anything, they just express a desire to do ‘x’. If enough agree, then they all go out and “do X”, with a lot of sharing of ideas and tactics to enhance the end result.

Granted, the ones expressing the desire are likely “higher ups”, especially in the funding sense… {cough!} {cough!} Soros! Pelosi {cough!} Obama! {cough!} {cough!}, in the classical sense. But they don’t HAVE to be. It can be some general idea that catches hold in the “networg”.

There IS a dog’s butt for the tail to wag, of course.

This is something The Right needs to get a handle on, and fast.

  18. }}} Brian .. via Robert Shibley @ Instapundit, Sean Davis is reporting Apple has begun to demand that Parler institute the usual left-leaning censorship policies put in place by Big Tech, as a the price for remaining in the AppStore.

Only lefty idiots have iPhones, who cares?

If you’re NOT a lefty idiot, WHY are you using the phone of one of the most fascist — note the above demand — companies in Big Tech?

In other words, think about it.

  19. obh: I just tried to get parler on my android phone, and google has nuked it too. “Oh well why are you using google or apple stuff?” you might say. Um, because I’m not Amish dude. This is astonishing, it’s the night of the tech knives…

As far as I can tell no one in the GOP is saying anything tonight either…unsurprisingly of course.

  20. As I turned on Google Locations a while ago, I got a nice summery of where I have been in the last few months. Trump is perma-banned from Twitter now, tis the season. ;)

  21. not the least of which is that EVERY HARD DRIVE IN THE BUILDING was made vulnerable to unfriendly state actors seizing the opportunity to put in a thumb drive.

You have to be kidding after the (Democrat) House Pakistani IT team returned to Paki with all the hard drive contents of every Congress critter’s computer. I’m sure they left some back doors and Easter eggs behind. Isn’t it funny how that was never explained or prosecuted ?

  22. Brian, Mike K:

WordPress.com started deplatforming right-wing sites a while ago. CTH should have gotten an independent host. I hope they have complete backups. It’s easy to move a WP blog if there are backups.

DNS servers are a vulnerability. Search engines are a vulnerability. Maybe the Chinese will give our govt some pointers.

I never liked the Patriot Act.

  23. CTH should have gotten an independent host. I hope they have complete backups. It’s easy to move a WP blog if there are backups.

They completed the move before the 12/2 deadline. That is a very large blog with huge numbers of links and comments. I don’t know who their server host is now and I assume they are not telling.

I have been reading that blog daily since Trayvon Martin. I spent an entire weekend reading the account of that story at the time, including the edited videos.

  24. To whatever extent the demonstrative Wednesday was organized, it was done badly. A web site with a vague schedule doesn’t even count toward the minimum requirement. That the resulting crowd was going to be seeded with numerous persons of malign intent was exactly as predictable as the sunrise. The absence of organization made the malign intent easy to carry out.

Persuasion is not a realistic goal of any mass gathering and never has been. The goal towards opponents is realistically somewhere in the range between instilling aversion to outright intimidation to discourage them from interfering with the overall program. It may encourage covert supporters to become overt ones but is mostly preaching to the choir.

The most orderly and decorous demonstration imaginable is not going to change Romney from the opportunistic weasel that he is. It’s too early to tell if anything was accomplished. The cost seems to be one dead and a number of people who find themselves in deep legal peril after being carried along in the moment.

It will be interesting to see which of the most vocally outraged would be ’24 contenders start to walk back some of their rhetoric when the calculations in light of day demonstrate how unlikely the White House is to anyone who alienates Trump’s base. The Internet is forever and I don’t intend to forget.

  25. Mike K responding to a Leftie talking point from AVI: “You have to be kidding after the (Democrat) House Pakistani IT team returned to Paki with all the hard drive contents of every Congress critter’s computer.”

Spot on, Mike! And let’s not forget Hillary!’s bathroom server — the one she used illegally to process Top Secret materials and had presumably been penetrated by every foreign actor who cared to make the effort. But it is ok, because she wiped it with a cloth. Which was probably another Hillary! lie — she would have trusted Juanita or Chen Li to wipe it for her.

Nor should we forget the clear evidence that while Billy was President, billions of dollars and years of US research on missile guidance technology were “legally” sold to China while China was lining up contributions to the Clintons.

And if any of the Congress-scum did have confidential material on their Capitol laptops, we know that China, Russia, UK and anyone else who wanted it already had access.

The only people from whom US Government data is confidential is “We the People”. It is time for “We the People” to stop being patsies for an arrogant, out-of-control, incompetent, venal Political Class. Declassify everything!

  26. I’ve seen it pointed out that the actions of twitter, Google, etc., have just shattered their global monopolies–Bolsonaro and Netanyahu and Modhi and whoever took over for Abe can’t possibly afford not to have their own guaranteed access to communicate with their people, not subject to these SV (ie, CCP) vipers. They have to build out domestic hosting and social capabilities if they have any sense at all. So American conservatives are going to have to rely on them to save us I think…

  27. This guy keeps turning up.

John Sullivan, a noted leftist leader from Utah, stormed the US Capitol with fellow activists on Wednesday.
John Sullivan is a Black Lives Matter goon from Utah who was flown into DC during the planned “Stop the Steal” rally.

In August John Sullivan threatened to “rip President Trump from the White House” during violence in Washington DC. Sullivan was flown to DC for the protests.

At the time John Sullivan was described as a Black Lives Matter leader from Utah.

He was standing next to Ashli Babbitt taking video when she was shot. When she fell, he is heard to say “Oh Sh*T!” and then he ran down the stairs to the next landing.

Maybe shooting her was not in the script he was following.

By the way, The White House email service has been shut down by the provider. Too bad Trump doesn’t have a personal server in the bathroom somewhere.

  28. Maybe the Chinese will give our govt some pointers.

    They learned from Google.

Anyway, I’ve always thought it very interesting that Google happily assisted the murderous regime of China yet refused to work with the US military.

If only there was a political party that would object to that sort of thing…

  29. it’s not surprising considering the new masters, have been collaborating with china, though bohai investment, burisma et al,

  30. And if any of the Congress-scum did have confidential material on their Capitol laptops, we know that China, Russia, UK and anyone else who wanted it already had access.

    But wait, there’s more!

During the Clinton administration Wen Ho Lee gave China every bit of technical data the US had gathered on nuclear weapons since the 1940s. He denied it, wrote a book complaining about the accusation, then much later it turned out that he was caught via NSA and exactly how was so top-secret the government wouldn’t risk going to court.

While Barry was Preezy, the rest of the US government was apparently no more secure than Hillary’s bathroom server. The Chinese reportedly managed to obtain all government data on background checks done to all government employees and gigabytes of data on the latest submarine designs, just to pick two examples out of memory.

God knows what else they got, but I’m going to guess everything.

  31. I read Unz Review some days and usually with a grain of salt.

    This, however, sounds spot on.

“I was in Washington, D.C. today filming the Trump rally and related events. I also ran across your post concerning the Capitol demonstration tonight. Perhaps this short account will help you assess what others are saying in a small way.

“I was also at the Capitol before the crowd appeared setting-up my camera on a stone wall around the perimeter of the back of the capitol (the rear facing Constitution Avenue). Then I waited for President Trump’s speech to end and for supporters to walk-up Constitution Avenue to the Capitol. I was located at the precise location where supporters first rushed up the slope towards the back of the Capitol after casting aside a section of the first Capitol perimeter barrier. Supporters gathered roughly at the center of the back of the capitol, but a circle began to grow around the perimeter as the crowd grew larger. I had no sense that the growing crowd intended to rush the Capitol.

Long eyewitness report. Read the rest.

    More conclusions I agree with.

The rioters and looters who rampaged through many of America’s major cities suffered no media condemnation, only support and encouragement. This is because, unlike Trump, Antifa and Black Lives Matter are financed by and controlled by the Establishment and thus represent no threat. There is no FBI investigation or intended prosecution of any of the rioters who destroyed billions of dollars of property in America’s cities.

But the Trump supporters provoked into entering the Capitol are in for it says the Establishment figure Trump, in yet another of his mistakes, put in charge of the FBI.

It is difficult to defend Trump when he consistently puts in charge of his security agencies and Department of Justice members of the Establishment who hate his guts.

Wray will chase down every last Trump voter he can. I used to think the lower ranks of the FBI were still clean but I have a daughter who has been an agent for 25 years. Over the years, she has gotten farther left and hates Trump with a passion.

    I think she is typical.

  32. well wray was perhaps the third worst candidate after mike rogers the former congressman, and one other candidate, as remarked upon before, soltzhenitsyn thought the okrana was russias worst enemy, seeing stolypin as much a threat as the social revolutionaries (who they had contact with)

  33. Michael Yon has now published his report.

The lack of barriers, police, and National Guard. Everyone should have been on the line in full kit that day.

Approaching the Capitol Building was like landing at Atlanta airport. Total clear runway. Flashing lights. Beacons. People were guiding Trump supporters in.

From my experience, I recognized some were likely APs. Agent Provocateurs.

APs hijack portions of crowds do to their bidding. Mind hacking. Instead of inserting the program via USB stick, the AP uses megaphone, symbols, and other arts and methods of persuasion.

Those who controls the megaphones can cleave off some portion of any crowd and direct it to do work. Old tactic. Anyone can learn AP tactics and run a crowd. Basic carnival work. “Step right up! You there! Come here!” Take social media, as example. The APs are the owners.

As I have said before, this was an operation, aimed at Trump and his support.

  34. You all on this website have been boiling the pot of insurrection for years. Just look at your book list.
YOU ARE PART OF A FASCIST MOVEMENT!
Antifa wouldn’t be caught DEAD at a tRump rally! JUST STOP LYING ALREADY!
You’ve a part of conspiracy baiting for over a decade. You got your WHITE, MALE, STRONG MAN! This is who he is. This is who YOU are.
    God help you!

  35. *looking at gina h comment above*
aha, so they sent their “first responder” here, too. there is a pack of them now over at Streetwise Professor, monopolizing the threads, shouting at and mocking long-time commenters.

  36. LOL. There are an army of lefty fascists a la our new friend Gina who are going to try to get any vaguely conservative sites banned in coming weeks and months. Perhaps even days.

Did you know that liberals are now wetting their pants that there is round 2 of the coup scheduled for the 17th? We live in crazy times…

  37. *silently looks at Gina’s spittle-flecked comment. Silently looks at the books posted along the left-hand column, some of which were written by self. Silently shakes head. Reminds self about the perils of engaging with crazy*

  38. Sgt Mom: Trying to put myself into the mind of a lunatic, my guess is that the book covers include a cowboy, and a vaguely Germanic font, which obviously means you are a white supremacist terrorist.

  39. Oh dear. Gina, you cannot get through to anyone if you yell at them and call them names.

Anyway I just wanted to tell you its not that hard to take your Android phone and completely own it. You can already side load things like Parler, once they get past AWS. You can also unlock and root your phone and put a completely different OS on it. At https://www.clockworkmod.com/ there are tools and OSs. I have had the pro version of ROM manager for many years and used it to root all my phones and put different OSs on them. Now I have Hauwei phones I don’t bother, although I could root and own them too.

Then your torrent of data that Google hoovers up, becomes a trickle. A step in the right direction if you don’t trust Google.

  40. You all on this website have been boiling the pot of insurrection for years. Just look at your book list.

    Hilarious!

WHY DIDN’T YOU USE ALL CAPS SO WE COULD TELL YOU ARE TEH SERIOUSNESS????

Meanwhile, back in reality, antifa spent all summer setting fires, attacking the police, looting businesses, and murdering the occasional Trump supporter.

True anecdote, for the grownups here- we have family with the misfortune to live in Minneapolis, although they don’t look at it that way. Yet. One of them was forced to flee, and had burning debris land in their yard. Another spent all of one night up intending to defend where they lived against the rioters, if needed. I suspect they weren’t aware that if they did defend property in this manner, they’d have been arrested and imprisoned- and the rioters would have been free to come back, loot, and burn.

“tRump” didn’t do that, nor did his supporters. YOUR pals did that. That is who YOU are, Gina. A pig-ignorant, raving moron who makes asinine and baseless accusations, while ignoring what is actually happening in the country.

I recall what Huey Long said long ago when asked if fascism could ever come to America- “Yes, but it will call itself anti-fascism.”

Go to Hell, Gina- and take your swarm of violent criminal friends with you.

  41. I saw a commemorative Biden Inauguration issue of Time at the grocery store today. I seriously considered buying it, not for myself, I expect to remember the Biden “Presidency” whether I want too or not, but to send it on to slow Joe. He’s the one I expect to have trouble remembering. Is that hate?

To be sure, I doubt anyone has ever confused slow Joe with a STRONG MAN!!!

  42. Just troll them back.

Joe Biden learned this one simple trick: Put your hand out and someone will find a reason and way to put money in it.

How many congress critters, both houses, both sides, would look on serenely during an inquiry into how their brothers, sisters, wives, children, cousins, etc. got their money? There was a lot of noise a while back when various scions of Chinese royalty were noted to own and occasionally wreck very expensive cars. Do you think the Chinese invented this sort of corruption any more than they invented the cell phone? Why do you think the Hunter Biden story dropped into a black hole?

I’m still working on a suitably PG meme for Kamala. Maybe something along the lines of: If you hold your mouth open wide enough…
