Humorous site of the day: There, I Fixed It
I’m afraid half the stuff I cobble together could easily end up on the site. Still, you have to admire people’s ingenuity if not their risk assessment skills.
Some Chicago Boyz know each other from student days at the University of Chicago. Others are Chicago boys in spirit. The blog name is also intended as a good-humored gesture of admiration for distinguished Chicago School economists and fellow travelers.

AAAWWWW, I love this: very similar to what one contractor suggested.
I needed to put a partition across a long room, with a door in it. On one side the partition would cut off a cable outlet on the perpendicular wall; instead of factoring in a split for that outlet (having two, on either side of the new partition), the contractor proposed to make a cutout IN the new partition, i.e. a hole, to be able to reach for the existing cable jack.
My personal favorite.
I expect there is a large overlap between TIFI fans and Red Green fans.
