Astounding if correct

This article, if correct, should send shivers down the spine of any American. It is as though the government learned nothing from the Edward Snowden debacle.

A key part of President Obama’s legacy will be the fed’s unprecedented collection of sensitive data on Americans by race. The government is prying into our most personal information at the most local levels, all for the purpose of “racial and economic justice

Unbeknown to most Americans, Obama’s racial bean counters are furiously mining data on their health, home loans, credit cards, places of work, neighborhoods, even how their kids are disciplined in school — all to document “inequalities” between minorities and whites.

The goal is not laudable and the means are excretory. Barack Obama has set back progress in race relations by 50 years through his constant efforts to divide us into warring factions instead of uniting us as individuals from around the world united by our founding ideas. He wants to turn us into a version of Europe instead of improving on it. If the American people accept this, then being American no longer means what I was brought up to believe it did. I certainly hope SCOTUS overturns Affirmative Action next term. Otherwise it’s back to tribal competition.

  1. Well, I am sure the Chinese will be grateful. Of course, that assumes that this gang can complete anything so ambitious.

  2. I certainly hope SCOTUS overturns Affirmative Action next term. Otherwise it’s back to tribal competition.

Expecting the US Supreme Court to overturn anything unconstitutional or illegal is wasted effort. The law, like the Constitution, means what the Executive and the Courts say it really, really means at any given moment only independent of the text. King -v- Burwell.

If the rule of law is gone, and it is, the eventual default is what Thomas Hobbes referred to as the State of Nature. You may remember that such was a war of every man against every other. As long as we all know what the rules are that we are operating under.

We are not going to vote our way out of this, because there is no real opposition to vote for.

  3. I notice the sentence was broken in the wrong place. Should have been racial and economic justice unbeknown to most Americans.

On human nature, America has foundered.

If the American people were, are, or will be opposed to Obama’s agenda or past racial agendas, that preference has rarely been expressed in academia, media, and most importantly, voting.

  4. Rome became great only when all of Italy was united in a dominant language and single polity.

Immediately prior to and after the fall of the Roman Empire, Italy was a multicultural, multitribal polity.

Only after nearly two millennia of multiculturalism was Italy again united. Similar histories exist in France, Britain, Spain….

And so it will be in North America: fractious warfare between tribes of different languages, customs, and histories, centuries of bloodshed and struggle, until a new people, new language, new polity emerge.

  5. So, Obama’s fed is managing to make an “unprecedented collection of sensitive data on Americans by race,” but the Chinese stole the OPM data.

    Right?

  6. A few thoughts, in outline form for brevity.

    1) The American people did not and could not accede top this, because we were never asked if it could be done nor were we informed of it by any party opposed to it.

    2) The American people have, on multiple occasions, handed control of the government to the party general assumed to be opposed to this sort of thing. Likewise, we have on multiple occasions been disappointed.

    3) The left seems intent on imposing upon the country a scheme similar the the forced busing of the 1970s, except without the ability to escape by sending your children to private schools, or not having any.

    4) While they have hatched these schemes in secret, sooner or later the people will find out, or they will remain nothing more than schemes. I expect the people will object, like they objected to forced busing, only more vehemently.

    5) The United States is inhabited by the same sort of talking animal that inhabits the rest of the world, including in such more typically governed nations as 18th century France, 20th century Russia, China, Germany, Cambodia, etc, etc, etc. Except we have more guns, and more tenacity to keep them.

    6) History has not ended. There is no reason to assume the feeble, incompetent regime that presently misrules the United States will endure, or even that the United States will remain intact.

    7) Or that the even more feeble, more incompetent pretend opposition party will endure, either. I’d guess it won’t, because if you’re a political party you can’t ignore politics forever, no matter how hard you attack your supporters.

    8) Well, maybe they weren’t brief. But buckle up, because you can’t kick the can down the road forever, not even if you’re one of Barry’s racist bean counters.

  7. It seems to me that if only 10% of Americans would pick another race on the census then this problem would go away. And whose to say that you’re not X race? It would take a DNA test to prove.

  8. How does a DNA test prove race? What is race? One drop of n***** blood (to quote Oscar Hammerstein)?
