All of you have seen evidence of the way Zenpundit, Lex and myself enjoy working out. Today I noticed on my digital camera that I had a video of Jonathan doing his thing. Here it is.
Notice how Jonathan has the “go for the throat” mentality in crushing his opponent.
If you have never seen this game, you are probably not alone. The first time I saw it was last week when I took my daughter bowling. We were leaving and walked past the video game room and there was a guy playing this game – he was in it for the long haul as he brought with him towels and a change of socks. He was sweating profusely.
I stood literally slackjawed for about ten minutes watching this spectacle and my daughter could not stop laughing. It was that moment that I decided that I would never go anywhere without my digital camera again.
As for the guy, I guess I thought it was very strange that he would spend his afternoon working out at a bowling alley. Then again, he could have been out doing much worse things with his time – and not getting a good workout in.
The game is called Dance Dance Revolution, and it looks like it is quite the hit from checking the web. As the music plays, arrows scroll up the screen and you have to duplicate the arrow pattern with your feet.
I thought you agreed not to show this to anyone.
One of my kids was into DDR a little (geeks love the initials), but some of his friends were hard core, like this guy. Supposed to be aerobic. Seems to require more coordination than I ever had.
Jonathan’s secret life revealed. I see his sartorial sense has not evolved much over the years.
